K 2025 Düsseldorf: the global plastics and rubber fair
K-2025 once again brought together key players, innovation and technology from around the world. Over eight days, more than 3,200 exhibitors from 66 countries and 175,000 visitors from 160 nations gathered to explore the future of materials and manufacturing. With the theme “The Power of Plastics! Green – Smart – Responsible,” the fair highlighted performance, sustainability, digitalisation and social responsibility. The event also achieved strong online reach, with 1.2 million virtual visitors and over 4.7 million page impressions, underscoring its role as a global platform for collaboration, investment and knowledge exchange.
Why K 2025 is a strong fit for Global Minerals Technologies
K-2025 aligns closely with our focus on engineered mineral solutions for plastics. We showcased how our talc technologies deliver value in demanding applications, including automotive, packaging, consumer goods and biopolymers. Under the MinTalc and InstaTalc product lines, we develop formulations designed to enhance stiffness-to-weight ratios, dimensional stability, surface quality and processability in conventional polymers and biopolymers.
MinTalc supports performance gains as a functional filler, nucleating aid and antiblocking additive across polymer applications, including PLA and PBS.
InstaTalc PRO ST addresses the automotive sector’s requirements for durability and surface finish in interior, exterior and under-hood parts, with ultrafine performance, options for amino-silane treatment, suitability for TPOs, PC, PBT, ABS and polyamides (PA6, PA66), and compatibility with polypropylene homopolymer, copolymer and impact copolymer grades. It also acts as a free-flowing, low-dust additive for clean operations, and serves as an additive carrier for masterbatch production or for compounding to boost rigidity in PP.
We also introduced Aquacoat Dispersion Talc for coatings, supporting matte finishes, rheology control and functional oxygen- and moisture-barrier properties in packaging, paper and architectural paints.
